Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with rotating on-call responsibilities
Location: Auburn, Maine (on-site role covering 3 apartment communities)
About the Role
Are you a skilled, hands-on professional who takes initiative and enjoys working independently? We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Apartment Maintenance Manager to take full responsibility for the upkeep, repair, and ongoing maintenance of our apartment properties in Auburn, Maine.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, working with their hands, and managing their own workflow — while also overseeing a small maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
Oversee and maintain critical building systems such as boilers and heating equipment; complete monthly inspections
Manage apartment turnovers and perform general repairs efficiently and professionally
Supervise and guide a small maintenance team; ensure quality and timely completion of work orders
Handle snow removal and general property upkeep
Obtain repair quotes and coordinate with outside vendors when necessary
Maintain positive tenant relationships and communicate effectively with the General Manager regarding maintenance needs
Keep accurate records of work orders
Work independently to manage daily priorities and emergencies with minimal supervision
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in apartment maintenance, general contracting, or a skilled trade
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
Excellent self-management skills; comfortable working independently and known for having a strong work ethic
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in all seasons, and perform physically demanding tasks
Ability to use smartphones, computers, and basic maintenance tools confidently
Must be available for after-hours and weekend emergency call-outs
Background check required
Fluent in English
